10 Essential Questions and Their Answers
Paritas provides a wide range of recruitment services for your business. These services range from providing you with well-matched staff to enabling you to effectively manage wellbeing in the workplace. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.
Q1. What range of vacancies are you able to find candidates for?
A. We have a wide talent pool and can provide suitable candidates for most types of role, duties and hours.
Q2. What are your fees?
A. Paritas charges a standard recruitment fee for candidates placed into employment with you. All other support, training and employment tools are provided free of charge. Please contact us for full details of our fees and services.
Q3. What do you mean when you say you support employers and employees? Is that with cash or subsidies?
A. We support employers by delivering bespoke training, management tools and personal support. We do not provide financial support ourselves, but we can signpost you to appropriate funding that is available to help support and develop your employees.
We support employees with detailed and practical individual support programmes that enable them firstly to find employment and then to work independently in the workplace once we have placed them.
Q4. In your leaflet, you mention about mental health being a barrier. Do you advise me if the candidate has a mental health problem? Do I have the right to know?
A. Under employment law it is the right of the individual to choose whether or not to disclose the nature of a disability. As an organisation we would ideally like people to disclose any relevant information to you as this will help ensure that support in the workplace is more readily available. However, they do not have too.
You would have the same right to know as with any current employee. It is important to remember that before any individual is placed by Paritas, full risk assessments and any relevant employment checks are carried out.
Q5. I'm concerned that an employee that I take on with a mental health problem may find work stressful or they may take more time off than my other employees. How do I handle this?
A. Mental health issues are varied and more often than not, are not related to stress. But, if stress does become an issue then the people that we have placed with you, will be able to access appropriate support.
As part of our services to employers, we can provide you with access to training and tools that you can use to manage employee workplace stress. Given that 1 in 3 employees experience workplace stress at some point during a year, this will prove invaluable to your business.
Did you know that 12.8 million working days are lost to business each year as a result of stress? The financial cost runs into billions of pounds, and you will no doubt be fully aware of the impact of workplace stress and its associated costs on your own business. Working together, we will help you to effectively manage stress in your workplace.
Q6. What makes you different from other recruitment agencies and what makes you similar?
A. We are similar to other recruitment agencies in that we provide you with capable well-matched staff to meet your business needs. That means interviewing candidates, going through their CVs and carefully matching with the requirements of the role that you are advertising.
We are different in that we can provide ongoing advice and support to the employees that we place with you.
We are also different in that our service extends beyond the traditional recruitment model to provide you with tools and advice. This combination will enable you to effectively manage wellbeing within your organisation.
