Candidate Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can you help me find a job?

A. Yes, if you feel your mental health is a barrier to you finding or keeping employment. We can help
you with your application, your CV and preparation for interview.

Q. Where are you based?

A. We are based in Brighton but cover the whole of West Sussex. You will need to live in  Sussex to be able to use Paritas.

Q. Do I have to come to Brighton?

A. Not necessarily.  We can support you by email or phone or, if an adviser is working locally, we can arrange to meet you.    

Q. Should I look at temporary or permanent employment?

A. For some people temporary employment might be a good way to get back to work, especially after a break. But we will also support your application for permanent employment if you have seen jobs that would suit you.

Q. What do I need to do to apply to Paritas?

A. You will need to email us at paritas@workandlearning.co.uk and we will take it from there.

Q. What happens next?
A. We'll get in touch with you and arrange support.

Q. Why shouldn't I just go and register with a regular recruitment agency?

A. By registering with Paritas you will be able to access an enhanced service for people who have experienced mental ill health.  We will provide you with support while you apply and be a point of contact once you start work.
